|Details||The Greenwood Music Festival will hold AUDITIONS for the church opera "NOYE'S FLUDDE" (Noah's Flood) by Benjamin Britten. Roles, chorus and orchestra players will be needed for this production, to be presented during the 2013 Greenwood Music Festival season titled "Carnival of the Animals"|
Ages 6 (first grade) through High School are needed. Roles for members of Noah's Family and Noah's Wife's friends are needed, plus children of all ages for a massive chorus of animals and birds. (We hope to have over 100 kids in the chorus). Please be prepared to sing a few lines of a favorite hymn. Audition will include singing, and movement.
The production of NOYE'S FLUDDE will be fully staged, with costumes, sets, and orchestra. Noah and Noah's Wife will be sung by 2 artists from the Metropolitan Opera. The production will be conducted by Greenwood's own Keith Jameson, directed by Ellen Schlaefer (Opera at USC Columbia), and designed by Karen Butch, with lighting and choreography by Bess Park. This will be a wonderful opportunity for the entire community to come together for a unique and exciting Festival experience.
