More than 30 colleges and universities will be in attendance at the 10th annual College Transfer Fair sponsored by Piedmont Technical College. The fair is provided to give students information on special bridge programs and transfer pathways to four-year universities for those who wish to continue their education.

Piedmont Technical College will sponsor a College Transfer Fair Tuesday, March 11 in the James Medford Family Event Center on the Lex Walters Campus. More than 30 colleges and universities will be in attendance to give students information on special bridge programs and transfer pathways. The event will be from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

“I think knowledge is powerful and learning more about our transfer pathways can really help in making informed decision about higher education choices,” said Lynn Mack, dean of instructional and grant development. “Students interested in learning more about Piedmont Technical College and our special transfer programs with many universities are invited to attend.”

Colleges and universities participating include Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College, Anderson University, Charleston Southern University, The Citadel, Clemson University, Coastal Carolina University, College of Charleston, Columbia College, Converse College, DeSales University, Erskine College, Gardner-Webb University, Johnson & Wales, Lander University, Limestone College, Newberry College, North Greenville University, Presbyterian College, South Carolina Student Loan, Sherman College of Chiropractic, South Carolina State University, Southern Wesleyan University, Springfield College, Strayer University, University of Phoenix, USC, USC College of Computing & Engineering, USC School of Library and Information Science, USC Aiken, USC Upstate, USC Upstate Engineering Technology, Voorhees and Winthrop University.

Piedmont Technical College representatives and program advisors will be on hand to answer questions, and experts will also be available for guidance on important areas of concern such as financial aid and scholarships.

“Piedmont Tech offers over 80 courses designed to transfer to any public university or college in South Carolina. We’ve also established specific transfer agreements with many of South Carolina’s major four-year institutions, and we’re actively working on more,” said Mack. “These transfer agreements include special bridge programs that allow students to get a taste of a four-year college while attending Piedmont Tech as well as special pathways into fields like electrical engineering, education and business.”

For more information, contact Mack at (864) 941-8449 or at mack.l@ptc.edu.
