Jazz pianist to perform and lecture at Wesley Commons
Thanks for reading GwdToday - Everyday!

The Lakelands Lifelong Learning Network, in Greenwood, is presenting Rod Blumenau, of Rochester, N. Y., to conduct a program entitled, “The History of Jazz Piano.”  The event will be held in Asbury Hall at Wesley Commons, on Friday, June 13, beginning at 1:30 p.m.

The event will combine Blumenau’s talents as a pianist and lecturer. During his career, he has performed with many notable musicians and groups. He is also a recording artist and, in addition to his accomplishments as a musician and teacher, he is a storyteller and humorist.

The Lakelands Lifelong Learning Network offers educational and social opportunities for mature adults. The program is a partnership between Lander University, Piedmont Technical College and Wesley Commons. For annual fee of $30, members may enroll in an unlimited number of courses ranging in length from one day to several days, depending on the topic.

Information about membership and upcoming courses can be obtained by calling 864-388-8989, or by sending an email to lakelandslln@lander.edu.
