Watch the Greenwood Christmas Parade LIVE!

This year’s Greenwood Christmas parade will be available to anyone, anywhere!

GwdToday, Lander University and Uptown Greenwood have teamed up to provide live streaming video of the Greenwood Christmas parade scheduled for this coming Sunday, Dec 2nd beginning at 2:30 p.m.

GwdToday News Editor Brian King along with Paul Crutcher, the voice and General Manager of XLR Lander Radio, will provide live commentary during the parade. The broadcast will begin at 1 p.m.

“We wanted to do something different,” explains GwdToday Publisher Patrick Moore.  “We wanted to do something that’s never been done before with the Christmas Parade and make it accessible to anyone, anywhere.”

Live broadcasting will be available via the internet at www.GwdToday.com . The video of the broadcast will also be available to watch on www.GwdToday.com and also through Lander’s WLG TV channel 16 on local cable following the parade for those who would like to go back and watch it again.

The broadcasting booth will be positioned just beside the Greenwood Library and alongside this year’s parade judges so all performances can be captured on video.

“This is a very exciting opportunity,” says Crutcher. “Greenwood always has a great parade and we look forward to showcasing our parade to everyone.”

Live broadcasting will begin at 1 p.m. as King and Crutcher will begin the broadcast with several interviews of special guests and local dignitaries.

GwdToday and Lander University would like to extend a very special thanks to Uptown Greenwood and the Greenwood County Library for their support and help in making the live stream possible.

If you have an entry in this year’s parade, be sure to send information about your entry to Brian@GwdToday.com.

Brian and Paul and Chrsti I believe her name is. You guys did a fantastic job with this, I watched and can't wait for the edited version. UStream ran smoothly, unlike several years ago when I used to use it with a business partner. I think this is a great way to show events , there is a lot of folks out there that are shut ins or have no way of getting to events. Thanks guys from me to you for stepping up to the plate and taking a swing at this. It's definitely a home run..

You can find the XLR radio feed on-line at www.xlr1.org. We are not on the FM dial.....yet. We are happy to partner with GwdToday and are looking forward to the parade broadcast.
