The Greenwood County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigations Division has arrested a third person in connection with the Aug. shooting incident at the Dazzle Car Wash on Northside Drive.
Investigators say that Kristy Dawn Griggs Coleman, 27, was in possession of a stolen pistol and present at the time of the shooting. Coleman is the third person to be arrested in connection with the incident, joining Stephen Neeley and Michael Rousey.
Investigators say that Coleman was involved in the theft of a gun from a truck on Aug. 24. According to a report from the Greenwood Police Department, a .40 caliber semi-automatic pistol was reported stolen from a truck that was parked at a residence on Glendale Avenue. Investigators believe that is the weapon used in the shooting that occurred on Aug. 25 at the car wash. Coleman turned herself in to authorities on Wednesday, investigators said.
The shooting occurred at the Dazzle Car Wash located directly behind the Hickory Point gas station on Montague Avenue Ext. in the early morning hours of Aug. 25. Police heard a gunshot and responded to the scene. They found a .40 caliber shell casing and the metal jacket of a projectile at the scene. One man was shot in the triceps muscle of his right arm following a short scuffle.
Neeley and Rousey have also been charged in connection with another incident that occurred shortly after the shooting in which a Bradley man was badly beaten. Coleman has been charged with accessory after the fact to a felony and possession of a stolen pistol.
