On Friday, September 20, from 3pm to 6pm Wesley Commons will be hosting the first ever running expo in Greenwood. The expo will have fitness and running related vendors and will be open to the public. The event will coincide with packet pick up for the Food for the Sole 5k Race which will be held on Saturday, September 21st at Wesley Commons.
All runners and walkers participating in The Food for the Sole 5k Race that attend the expo will receive a free drawstring book bag, coupons to local restaurants and much more! Registration will be available at the expo as well for $30 per person. The registration fee includes a dry fit t-shirt and breakfast following the race. The overall male and female winner will receive a free pair of Brooks running shoes. There will also be hand crafted age group awards made by Wesley Commons’ woodworkers and door prizes at the victory breakfast celebration. All proceeds from the race will benefit the Resident Support Fund at Wesley Commons. The course is USATF certified.
