AMBER ALERT

***The Amber Alert has been cancelled. According to SLED, the child has been found, but the suspect has not been apprehended.***

The State Law Enforcement Division, on behalf of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office, has issued an Amber Alert for a missing 2-year-old boy. The child is missing from Simpsonville.

According to a release from SLED, police are looking for 2-year-old Justin Santiago Perez. Perez is a Hispanic male, 2-feet-5-inches tall, weighing 30 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He could be wearing red “Elmo” pajamas and a white Guess shirt.

Police believe the child was abducted from 729 S.E. Main St, Simpsonville, by 35-year-old Wbernel Perez. Wbernel Perez is Hispanic male, 5-foot-6, 140 pounds with brown eyes and brown or black hair. Wbernel Perez is believed to be driving a black 2010 Hyundai Elantra bearing tag number HLX-732. His direction of travel is unknown at this time.

Anyone who has any information or thinks they have seen either the child or the suspect should immediately call 911. Police consider the child to be in danger.
