Four charged with assault by mob

Four men have been charged with assault by mob following an altercation at a residence on Valley Road early Saturday morning.

According to a report from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to 155 Valley Rd., Greenwood, just after 4 a.m. Saturday morning after receiving a call about a fight in progress. Two deputies went to the residence while two other deputies met with the victims at nearby convenience store.

According to the report, multiple witnesses corroborated the victim’s story. The victim brought his wife to a party at the residence and then left. After the victim left, a man, later identified as John David Cash, 42, made inappropriate advances toward the victim’s wife. The victim’s wife became upset and called her husband to come back the residence and get her. When the victim arrived, he was assaulted by Cash as well as Dylan Blake Cash, 19, Marvin Derrick Lollis, 36, and Jamario Rotavious Williams, 20. The victim, who had blood coming from his nose as well as red marks on his face and neck, said the four men choked, punched and kicked him before physically throwing him from the residence. The four men acted as if they were unaware of why deputies were at the residence.

All four men were arrested and charged with assault and battery by mob.
