A Greenwood woman has been charged in connection with an Aug. 2013 incident in which she alleged a man sexually assaulted her.
Cierra Anita Lockett, 25, of 101 Cemetery Rd., was arrested Friday and charged with prostitution and driving under suspension. Lockett was also served a bench warrant for failing to appear in court to face a larceny charge stemming from a 2012 incident.
According to report from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, deputies were dispatched to the home of John Adam Cade, 36, located at 611 Davis St., after receiving a call from Cade wanting Lockett to leave his residence. While en route, deputies were notified that Lockett had called 911 saying Cade was holding her against her will and had sexually assaulted her. Lockett met deputies at the door and told deputies Cade was her “sugar daddy.” Lockett told deputies she had come to Cade’s residence to get $100, but Cade insisted they have sex first. Lockett told deputies that Cade forced her to have sex with him after she refused and asked for the money.
According to the report, Cade told deputies Lockett came to the house and the two had consensual sex and Lockett asked for $100 afterward. Cade told deputies when he refused to pay, Lockett said she would call the police and say he raped her if he did not pay her. Cade told deputies that Lockett then threatened to break items in the house. Lockett was in the laundry room, so Cade prevented her from entering the main part of the residence and called 911. Cade showed deputies text messages between he and Lockett for the past several months in which Cade offered $100 for Lockett to come over and have sex with him, including the day of the incident.
Court records indicate Cade was arrested on Aug. 30, 2013 and was given a personal recognizance bond on Aug. 31, 2013. Cade pleaded guilty on Sep. 16, 2013 to a charge of prostitution and was sentenced to time served, court records indicate.
Lockett is being held at the Greenwood County Detention Center on a $1,152.50 surety bond.
