The Greenwood County Violent Crimes Task Force is investigating a Tuesday afternoon armed robbery of a cash advance store on the 72 Bypass.
According to investigators, two black males entered Approved Cash Advance, located at 1219 Bypass 72, at about 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon and informed the clerk the store was being robbed. The two men led the clerk believe they were armed and demanded money. The two men then left the store with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Similar robberies have been reported in Laurens, Union and Spartanburg counties. Investigators would not say if they felt the robbery in Greenwood was related to those robberies.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing.
