A 16-year-old Greenwood girl was killed in a single vehicle crash on I-26 near Woodruff early Sunday morning.
The Spartanburg County Coroner's Office identified the teenager as Shykeria Lyle-Daja Watts of Cemetery Road.
According to officials with the South Carolina Highway Patrol, Watts was a passenger in a car driven by Rasheed Reeves, 23, of Clinton, and a third unidentified person when the car crashed about six miles south of Woodruff on the eastbound side of I-26. The crash occurred just before 1 a.m. Sunday morning.
Officials said neither Reeves nor Watts were wearing a seatbelt and were ejected from the vehicle. The third person was not injured.
Officials said Reeves has been charged with felony DUI resulting in death in connection with the crash.
