A Greenwood woman is facing a drug distribution charge after she allegedly illegally sold prescription medication to a confidential informant.
Jill L. Carlisle, 53, of 149 Marshall Circle, has been charged with distribution of a schedule II substance in connection with the incident.
According to a report from the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office, agents with the Greenwood Drug Enforcement Unit sent a confidential informant to an undisclosed location in Greenwood County to purchase the prescription drug oxycodone from Carlisle. The confidential informant purchased two and a half pills later identified oxycodone from Carlisle.
According to RXList.com, oxycodone is a drug used to treat moderate to severe pain when around-the-clock pain relief is needed for a long period of time. The drug is also called Oxycontin.
