Wells Dunlap, Commercial Relationship Manager for Countybank; Lynn Turner, Credit Officer for Countybank; and David Tompkins, Senior Vice President, Greenwood Market Executive of Countybank recently presented a check for $5,000 to Community Initiatives. The donation was given on behalf of the Countybank Foundation, which was established in 1971 and represents Countybank and Greenwood Capital.
This donation represents a long-standing relationship between Countybank, Greenwood Capital, and Community Initiatives. “Community Initiatives plays an important role in our community,” said Dunlap, who also serves on the Board of Directors for Community Initiatives. “Through initiatives like the Anchor Campaign we are able to support medial and afterschool services in the Lakelands. This, coupled with the organization’s La Clinica Gratis/The Free Clinic, have provided much needed health and prevention services for our local residents.”
Community Initiatives provides a variety of programs and services to the Lakelands community, including the Safe Haven After School and Summer Program and La Clinica Gratis/The Free Clinic, a medical home for uninsured, drug-free events, and The Benefit Bank, a benefit screening program.
“Countybank and Greenwood Capital have been instrumental in allowing Community Initiatives to enhance its medical and afterschool programs,” said Teresa Goodman, Executive Director for Community Initiatives. “Their support has allowed us to address organizational sustainability and prepare to expand our programs to position our clients for positive, life changing solutions that will lay the framework for generations of success.”
“We are honored to support an organization that provides much needed assistance to our community,” said Tompkins. “We look forward to seeing their work continue to expand and positively impact our area.
