SC Chamber of Commerce executive, Ted Pitts, will be in Greenwood on Thursday to speak at the SC Chamber’s Grassroots Regional Meeting.
Local business and community leaders are invited to participate and express their opinions regarding the state’s most pressing issues of concern to citizens, employers and industry. Sponsored by Whole Dental Life, this is one of several meetings being held across the state to obtain feedback to begin developing the S.C. Chamber’s “2020 Competitiveness Agenda.”
“It’s important that our leaders in Columbia understand our concerns and needs,” said Angelle LaBorde, Chamber President & CEO. The Greenwood SC Chamber is excited to once again be hosting this meeting for our Lakelands businesses. “These meetings help to clarify the issues that need the full attention of our legislative officials. We are very happy to work with the S.C. Chamber to provide this opportunity for business leaders to be heard,” she said.
The grassroots meeting will be held August 8th on the campus of Lander University in the Cultural Center building in the Lois Grier Room. The meeting will be from 8:30 – 9:30 a.m. There is no fee to attend, but an advance registration is requested.
