Sheriff's Office Announces Citizen's Academy Class #4

Sheriff Dennis Kelly is pleased to announce that applications are being accepted for the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office Citizens Academy. This class is designed to acquaint citizens of Greenwood County with the personnel, services, investigative techniques, and “day to day” operations of the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office. Topics covered include Narcotics Investigations, Criminal Investigations, School Resource Officer functions, Special Operations, Uniform Patrol, Traffic Enforcement, Crime Scene and a general overview of the structure and function of the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office. 

The Citizen’s Academy, Class #4 will begin on Tuesday, October 8, 2019 at 6:30PM. There will be 6 sessions that run every Tuesday, 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM, through November 12, 2019 and will be held at the Greenwood County Sheriff's Office Training Building located at 528 Edgefield Street, Greenwood, SC. Participants must be 18 years of age or older, a resident of Greenwood County, no misdemeanor arrests within one year of application, no felony convictions. We will be limiting the class size to 10 participants and plan to have future classes as interest dictates.
