Greenwood Chamber Accepting Nominations for "Women of Excellence" Awards

The Greenwood Chamber’s Women's Leadership Council (WLC) is accepting nominations for the sixth annual "Women of Excellence" awards.  These awards will recognize the unique leadership influence of women in the greater Greenwood area.  Chosen from submitted peer nominations, the recipients will be honored at the Women of Excellence awards luncheon meeting on Friday, March 4, 2016 at the American Legion.

PTC Student Receives Grainger Scholarship

Prosperity resident Troy Lawson, an industrial electronics technology and mechatronics technology student at Piedmont Technical College, has been awarded $2000 from The Grainger Tools for Tomorrow Scholarship Program. Each year, Grainger works with the American Association of Community Colleges to offer 250 scholarships of $2,000 each at 125 community colleges in the United States.
