FLOTILLA on Lake Greenwood Sept 1

Gunnells’ Marine Unlimited along with Connect Lake Greenwod and Break on the Lake presents FLOTILLA on Lake Greenwood on Labor Day Weekend Saturday, Sept 1.

Everyone is invited to join in on the fun.  Entry Fee is $20 in advance, $30 after August 18.  Boats are to check in at 2 p.m. with the parade beginning at 3 p.m.  Registration and start point will be in the cove at Ridgewood Harbor neighborhood on the Laurens side of the lake.

Boaters have fun during Thunder in the Cove despite low participation

Hundreds packed into a cove on Lake Greenwood Saturday to check out the Thunder in the Cove drag boat race.  Delayed start time, low participation and lag times between races still did not kill the spirit of everyone who attended.  Mainly because boaters know how to have a good time and there’s no better place to be than on Lake Greenwood.

Boaters Uniting to Help People with Special Needs
The Burton Center Foundation and the Laurens County Disabilities and Special Needs Board are proud to announce the 5th Annual “Cruisin’ for a Cause Boat Run” will be held Saturday, August 18, 2018 on beautiful Lake Greenwood.  The purpose of the boat run is to bring awareness of people with disabilities and special needs in Abbeville, Edgefield, Greenwood, Laurens, Lexington, McCormick and Saluda counties and funding to help them.  The funds raised by this event will go towards providing for emergencies, financial hardships, food, clothing, dental care, medical equipment, personal care items, client events and outings.

5th Annual Lights on the Lake coming Saturday

On Saturday, June 30th, the region’s largest patriotic fireworks display will ring, thunder and boom over Lake Greenwood, SC as the Connect Lake Greenwood’s 5th annual Lights on the Lake Independence Day Celebration, comes to life from Fellowship Camp & Conference Center, thanks to over 25 local company sponsors.
