Elizabeth "Lib" Hill Chapman, 82

Elizabeth “Lib” Hill Chapman, 82, of 108 Chapman Court, widow of William Andrew Chapman, died Friday, December 7, 2012 at Self Regional Medical Center.

  Born in Laurens, she was a daughter of the late Rhett Raymond and Mamie Hipps Hill.  She was retired from Parke-Davis. Lib was an active member of Siloam Baptist Church, where she served in many capacities, including as director of the W.M.U. for many years, a member of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class and the Elderberries Senior Adult Group.

  Surviving is her son, James Chapman and his wife, Linda, of Greenwood; her brother, Samuel Hill and his wife, Juanita, of Woodruff; two granddaughters, Valerie Leary and her husband, Erek, of Greenwood and Amanda Chapman of Augusta, GA.

  Services will be at 12 noon Monday at the Harley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Webb and the Rev. Marc Vickers officiating.  Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Cannon Memorial Gardens, Fountain Inn.

  Honorary escort will be members of the T.E.L. Sunday School Class and the Elderberries Senior Adult Group of Siloam Baptist Church.

  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11 a.m. to 12 noon.

  The family is at the home of Valerie and Erek Leary, 146 Cresent Road, Greenwood.

  Memorials may be made to the account of Elizabeth Chapman, c/o Harley Funeral Home and Crematory, PO Box 777, Greenwood, SC 29648.
