Marie McManus Jackson, 80, resident of 907 Ninety Six Hwy., widow of Phillip Jackson, died December 17, 2012 at Regency Hospital in Greenville.
Born in Greenwood County, September 20, 1932, she was a daughter of the late Curtis and Fannie Mae Anderson McManus. She was a graduate of Greenwood High School. Mrs. Jackson was formerly employed by Efird’s Department Store, Bankers Trust (now Bank of America) and retired from Greenwood Mills Information Center.
She was a member of Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church and the Sunshine Group of the church.
Mrs. Jackson was twice married, first to the late Ralph L. Riddle.
Surviving are two sons, Michael and wife Ola Riddle of Greenwood and Dwight and wife Tammy Riddle of Easley; two sisters, Jackie Latham of Cross Hill and Delores and husband Ray Satterfield of Greenwood; three grandchildren, Shelby and husband Shane Mason of Greenwood, Brenna and husband Trent Henley of Etowah, NC and Ralph and wife Jill Riddle of Chapin; five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 AM Thursday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Danny Wiley and Rev. Harvey Peurifoy officiating. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Billy McCombs, Bobby Wells, John Collins, Ernie Sumner, Ira Champion, Russell Hughes, Tim Stewart and Larry Latham.
The family is at the home of Mike and Ola Riddle, 404 Logan Rd. and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 to 8 Wednesday evening.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Mt. Lebanon United Methodist Church, 104 Lebanon Church Rd., Greenwood, SC 29646.
