Frederick Terry “Freddie” Hahn, Sr., 71, resident of 121 Ridgewood Circle, husband of Sue Blackwell Hahn, died Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood May 3, 1941, he was a son of the late Frederick William “Bill” Hahn, Sr. and Martha Meares Hahn. He was a 1959 graduate of Greenwood High School and attended Clemson College. In 1972 Freddie organized Hahn Enterprises, Inc. in Greenwood and was owner and operator of the business at the time of his death.
A member of the First Presbyterian Church in Ware Shoals, he was also a mason and former member of the Florence Jaycees.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three daughters, Alice Hahn of Greenwood, Carrie (David) Daniel of Hodges and Martha (Mark) Sorrow of Greenwood; a son, Terry (Monique) Hahn of Braselton, Ga.; two sisters, Dorothy H. (Maurice) Halsey of Summerville and Catherine H. Woodhurst of Simpsonville; 10 grandchildren, Chelsea, Courtney, and Kristen Daniel, Sumner, Samantha, Skylar, Sawyer and Sarah Grace Sorrow and Jacquelyn and Lauren Hahn. He was predeceased by a brother, Henry Hahn of Ninety Six.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Friday at Blyth Funeral Home with Rev. Lamar Babb officiating. Burial will follow in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be employees of Hahn Enterprises along with grandson Sawyer Sorrow.
Honorary escort will be Charles Halsey, Maurice Halsey, Phil Lucas, Ray Ruff, Nick Johnson, Jeff Haburay, Tommy McCrea, John Williams, Tony Plumley, Tim Jones, Robert Davis, Marvin Boatwright and Henry Johnson.
The family is at the home on Ridgewood Circle and will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 to 2 PM Friday.
