Mary Beth Ginn

Mary Beth Stroup Ginn, 36, resident of 1214 Hwy 246 S., wife of Michael Lee Ginn, died March 3, 2013 at her home.

Born in Greenwood, August 20, 1976, she was a daughter of Richard A. “Dick” and Mary Ann Goldman Stroup.  A 1993 graduate of Greenwood High School, she attended Lander University and graduated with an accounting degree from Piedmont Technical College.  She was an Assistant Vice-President over accounting for Park Sterling Bank (formerly Capital Bank) and had worked in accounting for the bank for many years. 

Mary Beth attended Ninety Six Church of God and proudly served as a grade mother at Learning Express Kindergarten in Greenwood and at Ninety Six Primary School.  Her life revolved around her children and family. 

Surviving in addition to her husband of the home and her parents of Greenwood are three sons, Tanner Lee Ginn of Greenwood, Carson Michael Ginn and Logan Conner Ginn, both of the home; three brothers, Christopher Scott (Marie) Stroup, USAF, the Netherlands, Richard James Stroup of Miami, FL and William Allen “Will” (Sarah) Stroup of Greenwood; maternal grandmother, Helen Williams Goldman of Greenwood; aunts, Cheryl Bellamy and Laurie Goldman and cousin, Heather Goldman; mother and father-in-law, Wilber Lee and Dolores Crews Ginn of Greenwood; two life-long girlfriends who were more like sisters, Hope Campbell and Kelly Rousey.  She was predeceased by her maternal grandfather, Ashley Dean Goldman.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2PM Thursday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ronald Chavis officiating.

Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Ninety Six.

Pallbearers will be Stephen Bellamy, Mark Bellamy, Terry Shirley, Matt Shirley, Tom Campbell and Dennis Rousey.

The family is at the home on Hwy 246 S and will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 to 8 Wednesday evening.
