Bertha Flack - Ninety Six

Mrs. Bertha Gertrude Jackson Bush Flack, 101, resident of 108 Port Royal Dr., widow of Lawrence Flack, died Friday June 21, 2013 at her home.

Born March 10, 1912, in Rennert, NC, she was a daughter of the late Luther Franklin and Emma Hagins Jackson.  Formerly of Elizabethtown, NC, she had made her home in Ninety Six since September, 2012.

She was of the Baptist Faith and was twice married, first to the late Robert Bush.

Surviving are a daughter, Doris (Ted) Willner, with whom she made her home; two sons, William F. “Billy” (Bobbi Lea) Bush of Fairbanks, AK, and Robert L. “Bobby” (Francine) Bush of Anchorage, AK; five grandchildren, Robert Bush, William Bush, Jr., Gail Holzmueller, Zail Gavin and Linda Bush; eight great-grandchildren and a special cousin, Grady and wife Helen Jackson; nieces and nephews.  Mrs. Flack was predeceased by a granddaughter, Zena Gavin. 

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm Tuesday at Lafayette Memorial Park in Fayetteville, NC.

The family is at the home in Harbor Heights and will receive friends at Blyth Funeral Home in Greenwood, SC from 4 to 6 Sunday afternoon.

The family expresses its appreciation to her wonderful caregivers from Always Best Care of Greenwood and ARK Hospice.
