Charles “Charlie” Henry Fallon, 88, resident of 134 Cindy Drive, former resident of 117 Pelican Drive, Greenwood, husband of Dorothy “Dot” Moore Fallon, died November 26, 2013, at Hospice House.
Born October 2, 1925, in Siluria, Alabama, he was a son of the late Charles Lloyd and Nettie Taylor Fallon. He was a graduate of Thompson High School in Alabama and was a World War II Veteran of the US Merchant Marine in which he enlisted when he was seventeen. He retired from Cooper Industries as a production supervisor after 43 years of service and later worked as site attendant for the Greenwood County Recycling Center for 11 years.
He was a member of Rice Memorial Baptist Church.
Surviving in addition to his wife of the home are three daughters, Wendy (Kevin) Hill of Greenwood, Cathy (Jack) Ayers of Illinois and Shannon Sullivan of Piedmont; two sons, Eugene Fallon of Alabama and Michael “Tony” Sullivan of Greenwood; five grandchildren, Ginger Belvin, Tammy Crawford, Alyx Hill, Zach Hill and Owen Hill; six great-grandchildren, Jordan Belvin, Trey Belvin, Austin Purser, Madison Purser, Chris Fallon and Anna Fallon.
He was predeceased by a sister, Wylodine Honeycutt and a grandson, Michael Fallon.
Memorial services will be conducted at 1:30 pm Saturday at Emerald Baptist Church with Rev. Curtis Eidson officiating.
The family is at the home of Wendy and Kevin Hill, 117 Pelican Drive, and will receive friends at the church immediately following the memorial service on Saturday.
