Paul Lewis Crawley, resident of Sterling House, died December 21, 2013 at Hospice House.
Born in Hughesviille, PA, April 16, 1935, he was a son of the late Fred and Laura Rupert Crawley. He was a graduate of Bucknell University and was a Lieutenant in the US Army Transportation Corp serving in Korea and at the Brooklyn Army Terminal in New York City. Following his honorable discharge Paul worked for many years as a social worker in Lycoming County, PA. In 1983 he moved to Greenwood to become the Grounds Superintendent at Lander University, a position he held until his retirement in 1999. He was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection.
Surviving are his step-children in Pennsylvania, South Carolina and Oklahoma as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews in the Hughesville, PA area.
Memorial services will be conducted at 11 AM Tuesday at the Episcopal Church of the Resurrection with Father Nicholas Beasley officiating.
