Martha Calhoun - Greenwood

Ms. Martha Calhoun 69, of 118 Balsam Lane, Mill Pond Subdivision passed February 14, 2014 at Self Regional Medical Center.

She was born in Troy, SC December 9, 1944 a daughter of the late Georgia Mae Calhoun. She joined New China Baptist Church at an early age. She was formerly employed with Greenwood Industries (Nantex) and Lander University. She was a member of Women's Aid Society#89.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Alice Mae Calhoun and Mary Butler.

Surviving is a daughter, Marion Jackson (Robert) of the home, two sons,  Anthony (Mae) Calhoun of Abbeville, SC  and Harold Calhoun of Washington, DC; two  sisters, Gwendolyn Calhoun and Elizabeth (Joe)Bennett of McCormick, SC a brother, Sam Creswell( Janie Mae) of Troy, SC ; brother in law James Butler of Abbeville, SC and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held 2PM Thursday, February 20, 2014 at New China Baptist Church with Rev. Anthony Sims officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers and Flower bearers will be family. Ms Calhoun will be placed in the church at 1pm. Online condolences may be sent to the family at family is at the home. Percival Tompkins Funeral Home is honored to serve the Calhoun family.
