What’s more exciting to a kid looking to learn baseball from a very successful team like our Lander Bearcats! Well here’s your chance. Register your child now for the 2014 Bearcat Baseball Camp. There will be two sessions, one on June 23-26 and another on July 28-31.
Lander is having one of the most successful seasons in history as they have already clinched the 2014 NCAA II Regional Title and are now heading to Cary, NC for the College World Series!
This camp will be led by Head Baseball Coach, Kermit Smith and Assistant Baseball Coach, Britt Johnson. Instruction and drills also taught by NCAA II coaches and players.
Campers will enjoy receiving baseball instructions by NCAA Division II experienced coaches and players. A low camper to coach ratio ensures that young players learn the basic fundamentals and overall strategies of the game of baseball. Age appropriate drills that have proven successful in college players are used throughout each session, as well as fun and creative games designed especially for campers aged 6-12. Campers get to know Lander baseball coaches and players, and establish positive relationships that also help them enjoy watching the game throughout the season. Campers are encouraged to encompass character values consistent with that of a champion, that are taught throughout instruction and example.
Instructional time is complimented by fun activities such as swimming in the outdoor pool and an on campus dining experience. Campers are asked to bring comfortable clothes and shoes, a bathing suit, sunscreen, a baseball hat, a change of clothes, a towel and a glove each day.
Each session will include the following:
- Lunch included Monday-Wednesday
- Camp Awards Presentation on Thursday following fun sliding instruction.
- Camp Tee Shirt Included
- Camp Store Available
- Campers will have the option of swimming in the Lander outdoor pool and an on campus dining experience.
