Clemson, S.C. — Clemson Athletics announced today a partnership with Google to provide the 360-degree, comprehensive Business View technology for legendary Memorial Stadium. With the new technology, Clemson becomes the first college athletic department to provide a comprehensive Google Business View facility tour to its fans and recruits.

Women's Basketball Launches 2014-15 Season Theme
COLUMBIA, S.C. – South Carolina women’s basketball head coach Dawn Staley announced today that her team will play its 2014-15 season under the theme “one.” In her seventh season at the helm, the Naismith Hall of Famer annually develops a theme for both her team and its fans to rally around for the season.

Erskine taps Tallman to be next Men's Volleyball Coach
Due West, S.C. – The Erskine Flying Fleet have hired Cole Tallman to be their next Head Men's Volleyball Coach according to Mark Peeler, Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.

 While Tallman comes to Erskine from Vernon College in Vernon, Texas, Tallman is no stranger to Conference Carolinas having coached at both the University of Mount Olive and Anderson University.  At UMO Tallman directed his team to four conference championships and two runner-up finishes.  Tallman's coaching resume also includes 791 career wins and 16 Coach of the Year honors.

Lander men's basketball signs 6-10 Danish player

Denmark native Asger Hjorth has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue his basketball career at Lander University announced Bearcat head coach Jeff Burkhamer today.

Hjorth, a 6-10, 230-pound post player from Kongens Lyngby, was recently a member of the Danish Under-20 team which won the Nordic Championship.

Scholarship created honoring two Lander baseball players who made comebacks from incredible odds

This year, Jay Robinson and Tyler Wilson helped Lander University’s baseball team to the Peach Belt Conference regular season and tournament titles and the NCAA Division II Southeast regional championship. That qualified the team to play in the Division II College World Series in North Carolina in May for the first time in the program’s history. Their amazing stories have prompted an anonymous donor to create a scholarship at Lander in their names.

Peeler Elevated to Vice-President of Intercollegiate Athletics
Erskine College announced today that athletics director Mark Peeler has been elevated to Vice-President for Intercollegiate Athletics. The announcement comes on the heels of Erskine's finest year in athletics as a NCAA Division II member with record success in the classroom and on the playing fields, along with the largest student-athlete population in school history anticipated this fall.

Lander volleyball signs two recruits for 2014-15

Lander volleyball coach Ashley Stathas announced the signing of two student-athletes for the 2014-15 season.

The signees are Alison Kirk, a 5-8 setter from Glynn Academy in Brunswick, Ga., and Corrie Sherer, a 5-9 outside hitter from South Point High School in Rock Hill, S.C.

Patrick Grady took Lander up on the only scholarship offer he received coming out of high school and after earning just about every award possible, the right fielder from Pompano Beach, Fla. was selected today in the 33rd round of the Major League Baseball draft by Tampa Bay.

Lander baseball falls to No. 1 Tampa, eliminated from NCAA Championship Tournament

After winning an unbelievable 52 games; the Peach Belt Conference regular-season and tournament titles; and the Southeast Regional crown; the No. 3-ranked Bearcats were eliminated from the NCAA Championship Tournament by top-ranked Tampa, 7-3, at the USA Baseball National Training Center.

Lander baseball falls to Southern Indiana, will face Tampa on Wednesday

CARY, N.C. - Lander University's quest for a baseball national championship must now go through the loser's bracket.

The Bearcats battled back from a 5-0 deficit but fell short, losing to the University of Southern Indiana Screaming Eagles 6-5 at the 2014 NCAA Division II National Baseball Finals at the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, N.C.
