Harry Anderson of Night Court, Dave's World and Saturday Night Live fame is an ultra-pleasant guy with no obvious pretensions or Hollywood ego, even though he shared Thursday nights on NBC with the likes of Bill Cosby, Michael J. Fox and Ted Danson.
Although he is no longer in the spotlight to the degree of those stars, he no longer has any deep desire to return to TV on a regular basis.
He is, however, coming back to the stage of the historic Abbeville Opera House - returning for two nights and starring in a benefit performance for the one hundred and five year old theatre, with his brilliantly conceived, funny and touching show that he dubs Wise Guy, featuring music, stories, monologues and (of course) magic tricks. The performance is a benefit for the state theatre of South Carolina and will kick off the 36th Summer Theatre Season at the Abbeville Opera House.
Performances of Wise Guy are set for the Abbeville Opera House on Friday, June 6 and Saturday, June 7 at 8pm. The show is recommended for mature audiences and contains adult subject matter. Proceeds will benefit the Abbeville Opera House and tickets are $25.00. Since this is a benefit performance for the historic theatre, no gift cards or exchange tickets may be used.
