The thirty-fifth annual Clemson Extension Appreciation Banquet will be held Monday, Aug. 18, at 6:30 p.m. at the John de la Howe School cafeteria in McCormick. The banquet is held each year to show our volunteers how much we appreciate what they have done to assist the Extension Service and the people of McCormick County through Clemson Extension programs. This year we are celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Extension and this banquet is the kick-off event for a week filled with activities.
This year our featured speaker during the banquet will be Hugh Weathers, Commissioner of the South Carolina Department of Agriculture.
A meat loaf and chicken meal will be catered by Varrie and Daughters. Come see who our annual award winners will be this year and don’t miss your chance to win one of the many door prizes from local merchants to be handed out. Dress is casual. Tickets are $12 per person and can be purchased from the McCormick County Extension Office or the McCormick County Extension Advisory Council Members. You may contact the Extension Office at 864-852-2112 Ext. 114 for more information. Please join us on Monday, Aug. 18.
