Description: To provide technical advice, support and training to faculty and staff on campus-wide hardware and software needs, particularly training and development. Serves as primary contact for Media Services and Equipment Checkout. Provides training for SMART classrooms. Maintains records for compliance with software licensing. Also serves as departmental Web Editor for the public website and coordinator for auxiliary websites.
Minimum Requirements: Associates degree in a related area; or a high school diploma and experience in office automation systems, data communications systems design, installation, operation, repair, sales or marketing, or processing of information in a data processing environment. Valid driver’s license is required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Strong interpersonal skills, teaching skills and the ability to communicate effectively. Ability to establish good working relationships with faculty, staff, students and vendors. A strong knowledge of computer system analysis, design, testing, debugging and maintenance techniques and practices is required as well as strong knowledge of office automation standards and computer hardware and software. Strong knowledge of the Internet and designing and maintaining a web site, as well as an understanding of Internet related security issues and vulnerabilities.
Hire Range: $31,182 - $44,438
Work Hours: 8:30am – 5:00pm Monday – Friday
