Upstate, SC - Countybank is pleased to announce that William (Bill) P. Jenkins, III and Angelia V. Simpson were both recently promoted to the position of Vice President.  Jenkins has served as Marketing Director since joining the organization in 2007; and Simpson, who joined the organization in 2005, has led Human Resources since 2007.  Both individuals are a part of the TCB Corporate Services Team which serves all companies within the TCB Corporation Family, including Countybank, Countybanc Insurance Services Inc., Countybanc Investment Services Inc., and Greenwood Capital Associates.

In addition to more than 20 years’ experience in Human Resources, Simpson achieved her Professional Human Resources Certification (PHR®) in 2008, Integrity Solutions Certification in 2012.  Locally she currently serves as President of the Piedmont Area Human Resources Association and on the Burton Center Board of Visitors. 

“Angie has consistently demonstrated her organizational commitment through her actions and her dedication to create a vision and implement strategies within Human Resources that further enhance our organizational vision,” said Denise H. Lollis, Senior Vice President/TCB Corporate Services, “It has, quite simply, been a joy to work with Angie.”

Jenkins also has more than 20 years’ experience in marketing having been a small business owner and fifteen years in the financial services industry.  He achieved his Bachelors of Arts Degree from the University of North Carolina, Greensboro in Mass Communications and Certification in Marketing and Management from the Credit Union National Association.  Of late, Jenkins has been particularly active in the Upstate, making more than fifteen presentations to various business and civic groups, churches and community associates on the impact of the SC Department of Revenue information security breach, financial privacy and consumer protection.

“Bill is passionate about his work, our product and service offering and upholding the brand.  He works diligently to stay abreast of marketing and financial services trends to continue to progress the organization forward,” said Lollis, “In short, he believes in our organization and how we can do things better and different to serve our clients.”
