A convicted sex offender is facing more charges after police say he assaulted two other children in June.
The Greenwood Police Department has arrested Donald Keith Chrisley, 42, after investigators say he sexually assaulted two step-children, a 6-year-old girl and a 9-year-old girl. Chrisley is a registered sex offender and was released from prison on the sex crime charges in Feb. 2007, according to the S.C. sex offender website. Chrisley was also incarcerated from June 2008 to Dec. 2008 on a charge of assault and battery of a high and aggravated nature, according to officials with the South Carolina Department of Corrections.
According to a GPD report, police met with the children’s father on June 22 after the children told their father that Chrisley had pulled their pants down several times during the past week. The father gave police permission to interview the children. Both children used the terms “pantsing” and “pantsed” to describe Chrisley pulling down their pants. One of the children told police that Chrisley does this often and thinks of it as a joke.
According to the report, one of the children told police that Chrisley “punishes” them when they do not cooperate with him. The child did not elaborate on what the punishment entailed. Another child would not say anything other than Chrisley sends her upstairs after he is finished. One of the children said that Chrisley has been putting candy in their pants. The children’s mother said she was aware of the “pantsing,” but did not believe any of it was happening.
Chrisley has been charged with first degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor and third degree criminal sexual conduct with a minor in connection with the incident.
