The deadline to enter Lander University’s Short Film Competition is March 17. Part of the Fifth Annual Lander Film Festival, the event will feature lines written by A-list Hollywood screenwriters specifically for the competition.
The lines will be given out to entrants in the Short Film Competition, which includes high school, college and open divisions. Entry fee is $10 for students, $25 open (this includes 1 ticket to the awards ceremony and one Film Festival 5.0 T-shirt). Fee will be due March 17, at 5 p.m., during the initial meeting in Lander's Carnell Learning Center, Room 117. Films must be shot and edited between Monday, March 17, and Monday, March 31.
The Lander University Film Festival is scheduled for Saturday, April 12, with events at the university and at the Greenwood Community Theatre, in Uptown Greenwood. The day’s activities will include workshops and Q-and-A sessions with a trio of Hollywood screenwriters, a classic film discussion, an awards ceremony and more.
