WARE SHOALS, SC – The Ware Shoals Police Department has arrested two people in connection with a December 10th burglary that occurred on S. Greenwood Avenue.
According to a report from the Ware Shoals Police Department, police responded to 31 S. Greenwood Avenue just after 4 p.m. on December 10th in response to a burglary that had occurred at the residence. Then report states that the victim told police that someone had broken into their home and stolen about $400 in cash, a PlayStation 3, a PSP, about 10 video games, a brown in color semi-automatic shotgun, some women’s jewelry and a small television.
According to the report, police began canvassing the neighborhood for any witnesses. One witness told police that they saw Jamol Leon Starks, 27, and Ashley Latoya Thompson, 26, walking down the road. Starks reportedly had a large black trash bag full of unknown items and Thompson was reportedly seen outside of the victim’s home along with Starks.
The report states that another witness came to the police station the following day and told police that they had observed a man matching Starks’ description and a woman matching Thompson’s description around the victim’s house the day before. A confidential informant also informed police that the Starks and Thompson were involved in the burglary.
Starks has been charged with 2nd degree burglary and grand larceny. Thompson has been charged with 2nd Degree Burglary. No bond information was available as of 2 p.m. Thursday.
