Two suspects sought in a Burglary on Keowee Road on September 10, 2013 have been captured. An off duty Abbeville police officer spotted Christopher Alexander Washington shopping in Wal-Mart in Greenwood on September 26, 2013 and notified the Abbeville SO who then contacted Greenwood deputies for assistance.
Washington’s warrants had been placed in the NCIC data base and he was arrested without incident by Greenwood deputies and transported back to Abbeville to face charges. Malcolm Maurice Moss turned himself in to the Abbeville Police on Saturday without incident.
Sheriff Watson thanked the Greenwood County Sheriff’s Office for their assistance, and the Abbeville officer, who noticed Washington and went that extra mile to help secure the arrest. Sheriff Watson also said that because both agencies are working together to better serve the citizens of Abbeville County we are getting better results in solving crimes in our community.
