Kelley Marie Porterfield Hays, 39, resident of 106 Pinion Drive, wife of David Robert Hays, died January 20, 2013 at Self Regional Medical Center.
Born in Greenwood, October 10, 1973, she was a daughter of Darrell and Jewell Harvley Porterfield. Kelley was a 1991 graduate of Greenwood High School, University of South Carolina-Aiken and Piedmont Technical College. She was a Registered Nurse at Wesley Commons and was formerly employed by Magnolia Manor.
Kelley was a member of New Life Pentecostal Holiness Church where she also served as organist, choir member and was a member of the Out Reach Sunday School Class.
Surviving in addition to her husband of the home and parents of Greenwood are a son, Haden Alexander “Alex” Hays of the home; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Dr. Robert and Mary Hays of Champagne, IL; brother-in-law, Alan Hays of Mounds, IL; uncles and aunts, Rev. Richard and Betty Porterfield of Simpsonville and Lois and Samuel Godfrey of Hodges.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Wednesday from the Blyth Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Ellenberg and Rev. Richard E. Porterfield officiating.
Burial will be in Oakbrook Memorial Park.
Pallbearers will be Larry Weathers, Dale Reed, Mike Godfrey, Jeremy Keaton, David Ellenberg, Greg Porterfield, Wayne Porterfield and Ken Brownlee.
Honorary escort will be members of the Out Reach Sunday School Class and employees of the Upper Savannah Council of Governments.
The family is at the home of her parents, 305 Oakwood Drive, and will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 to 8:00 Tuesday evening.
