Christopher William Driggers, 33, of 118 Pinewood Circle, Abbeville, husband of Lesa Gambrell Driggers, died Monday, February 18, 2013 at his home.
Born in Greenwood, he was a son of James E. and Debra Davis Driggers. He was a graduate of Greenwood Christian School and received an Associate’s Degree in Computer Science from Piedmont Technical College. Chris was employed by Walmart and was an avid Clemson fan. He was a member of First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife of the home; his parents of Greenwood; a son, Sam Parnell of the home; grandparents, Edward and Dorothy Driggers, Billy and Dot Davis, all of Greenwood; special cousins, Kelly Anderson and Robert Reynolds.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at First Mt. Moriah Baptist Church with the Rev. Bryant Sims and the Rev. Dennis Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers will be Robert Reynolds, William Anderson, Patrick Griswold, Wally Parker, Jay Reynolds, Kin Gambrell, Matthew Gambrell and Wes Willimon.
Honorary escort will be members of the FOG Sunday School Class of First Mt. Moriah and Dr. Clint Wood and staff of Radiation Oncology Department at Self Regional.
Special thanks is extended to the nurses of Hospice Care of South Carolina and Home Health of Self Regional.
The family will receive friends at Harley Funeral Home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. The body will be placed in the church at 1 p.m. on Thursday.
