NINETY SIX – Paul Cobb and Sam Corley, the two incumbent candidates for the District 52 Board of Trustees, were re-elected Tuesday night, according to unofficial results from the Greenwood County Office of Elections and Voter Registration.
Cobb and Corley were opposed by political newcomers Regina Berry and Ronnie Peeler. Cobb received nearly 28 percent of the vote, while Corley garnered nearly 30 percent. Berry and Peeler finished with 17 and 25 percent, respectively.
The turnout was just over 10 percent of the registered voters in the district, with less than 500 total votes cast out of nearly 5,000 registered voters.
